Mike Maignan
Three saves against Norway
Maignan recorded three saves and allowed one goal in Friday's 4-1 victory over Norway.
Analysis: Maignan made three saves in Friday's 4-1 win over Norway, with his most important contribution coming in the second half when he dived low to his right to repel Jorgen Strand Larsen's weak penalty after Theo Hernandez's foul on Oscar Bobb, keeping France's lead at two goals and preventing Norway from having any realistic hope of a comeback. The AC Milan goalkeeper also dealt confidently with Bobb's one-on-one in the 72nd minute, completing a clean-sheet performance in open play that was only interrupted by Thelo Aasgaard's first-half goal from a collective defensive error rather than any individual goalkeeping lapse. His penalty save, composure and command of his area across three group games without a genuine goalkeeping error make him one of the most reliable goalkeepers at the tournament, and France's defensive platform heading into the knockout rounds is built significantly on the certainty he provides.
Two saves in opener
Maignan had two saves and allowed one goal in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Senegal.
Analysis: Maignan caught a break in the 25th minute when Nicolas Jackson's effort rattled the post and ricocheted off his foot before bouncing harmlessly away, sparing him from an unfortunate own goal. He was eventually beaten by Ibrahim Mbaye's stoppage-time strike, which briefly put a scare into what had otherwise been a comfortable French victory, while making two routine saves during a largely quiet evening between the posts. France will need a more alert start from both their goalkeeper and defensive unit when the knockout rounds bring a much tougher challenge.
Allows three goals in Atalanta game
Maignan registered two saves and conceded three goals in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Atalanta.
Analysis: Maignan didn't have a great day as he could have done more in a pair of goals, and he had a poor save in particular on Giacomo Raspadori's one. He has blanked the opponents twice in the last four matches, giving up five goals and making 11 saves. Up next, Milan will face Genoa away.
Two saves in loss
Maignan had two saves and allowed two goals in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Sassuolo.
Analysis: Maignan faced only four shots during Sunday's loss, and stopped just two of them. It was a day to forget for the goalkeeper for the most part. He did have a nice save, but coming off such a disappointing loss it's a very thin silver lining. Maignan has three more matches to go in domestic action.
Keeps clean sheet versus Juventus
Maignan recorded five saves and secured a clean sheet in Sunday's 0-0 draw versus Juventus.
Analysis: Maignan had a robust number of saves but wasn't forced into any really superb ones. He has kept back-to-back clean sheets after conceding in four consecutive tilts. He has surrendered seven goals and made 20 saves in the last six rounds. Up next, Milan will face Sassuolo away Sunday.
Two saves in win
Maignan made two saves and allowed zero goals in Sunday's 1-0 victory versus Verona.
Analysis: Maignan turned aside each of the two Verona shots on goal Sunday to record a clean sheet and help lift AC Milan to a 1-0 road victory. Across his last five starting appearances, the veteran goalkeeper has made 15 saves and three clearances while conceding seven goals. Maignan will be aiming for his fourth instance of successive clean sheets Sunday when AC Milan hosts Juventus.
