Analysis: Even though Bayesh was promoted to an attacking midfielder Friday, only his defensive stats increased against Senegal. For the World Cup, he updated his tournament-highs in both tackles won and clearances. During the tourney's group stage, Bayesh logged six tackles (three won), four clearances and one interception. Offensively, all he recorded was an inaccurate shot and a chance created.

Analysis: Bayesh failed to make an impact on the left wing, featuring in more of a defensive role while he faced difficult duels against Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde.
