Staying at Como
Como have completed the signing of Paz from Real Madrid on Monday for a 60 million transfer fee.
Analysis: Paz has been a regular starter for Como in each of the last two seasons, starting in 66 of his 70 league appearances and racking up 18 goals with 14 assists. Having created 105 total chances over those two seasons and attempting over 100 shots in each campaign, Paz's role and importance at Como were expected to be huge ahead of the team's inaugural Champions League campaign, and the Argentina international will feature for them in the competition. The deal includes an option so Real Madrid can bring Paz, who's representing Argentina at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, back for the 2027/28 season, for an 80 million fee next summer, according to Sabrina Uccello and Sergio Lopez of Diario AS.
Features in midfield rotation
Paz recorded one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 3-1 victory versus Jordan.
Analysis: Paz registered one shot, one tackle (one won) and four duel wins across his 61 minutes in Saturday's 3-1 win over Jordan before being replaced as part of coach Lionel Scaloni's rotations in the second half, contributing to a midfield performance that kept Jordan's defensive block under sustained pressure. The Como midfielder's technical intelligence and ability to find spaces give Argentina an interesting squad option heading into the knockout rounds.
