Fit to face Paraguay
Brown (groin) is back in training and an option for Monday's match against Paraguay, according to Sport 1.
Analysis: Brown is in the driver's seat to return Monday, as the full-back has recovered after dealing with some groin pain. This will leave the defender open to take the spot at left-back again, showing a great opening two matches in that role before being swapped out for David Raum due to Brown's injury. He should immediately return to that role as Germany looks to make a push for world glory after a disappointing loss in their group stage finale.
Should be fit for Monday
Brown (groin) is set to be ready for Monday's knockout stage match, according to manager Julian Nagelsmann, per Patrick Berger of Sky Sports. "He's doing well, I think he can play on Monday!"
Analysis: Brown will be looking to make a return after Germany's first defeat of the tournament, as the defender should now be fit as Germany approaches the knockout stages. This is major news for the team after their disappointing loss to Ecuador, as their starting left-back should return, leaving David Raum on the bench. He was a key part of their opening win, one of the young breakout players to begin the tournament.
