Five clearances and one shot
Doski logged five clearances, two tackles won, one interception and one shot (zero on goal) during Iraq's 5-0 loss Friday against Senegal. He also received a yellow card.
Analysis: As expected, most of Doski's impact was with defense. For the World Cup, five clearances mark his tournament-high. In each of Iraq's group-stage games, he won multiple tackles and logged at least one interception. Defensively, the left-back recorded 10 clearances, nine tackles won, five interceptions and one block. Doski's shot is his first and only attempt of the tournament.
Defensive standout in defeat
Doski had four clearances, three interceptions, one cross (one accurate) and one chance created in Monday's 3-0 defeat against France.
Analysis: Doski was quite busy compared to other Iraq players, as he posted team-high counts of tackles and interceptions while adding 54 passes and six duels won during a tough matchup. The left-back, who had scored the team's lone goal in the pre-tournament friendlies, has been forced to focus on defending in the official games, but he should face a more favorable test in the remaining group match against Senegal.
